The subject of these oil on canvas paintings is a long abandoned cement plant located in Northern California which Pat first viewed and photographed in November, 1987. The abstract nature of our everyday reality fascinates her and she finds herself continually drawn to using the windows, doors and arches of, oft times, decaying buildings; the more disreputable their repair, the more they intrigue and grab the artists attention. |
